Does the above image disturb you, send you a "mixed message" about Easter? Confuse you about what it is you really believe?
Yes it is a bit "edgy" but I wanted people to really think about the message of Easter.
Far too often people can't tell the difference between a "born again" believer and others. It's because we send that "mixed message".
We're in church on Sunday with our "holier-than-thou" hat on and Friday night we're out partying like it's 1999.
You can't be drunk in the Spirit on Sunday and just plan drunk on Friday and expect people to believe that Jesus has a better plan.
It doesn't impress anyone when you stand and shout "AMEN!" at random moments during the service but have no idea what the message was.
God is more pleased with the ordinary person who does a small thing for another out of the goodness of his (or her) heart then with the extraordinary person who does a great thing so the world can know of their accomplishments.
Sandra Bullock in an interview said that she was not impressed with most Christians because they only "talked the talk". She played Leigh Anne Tuohy in the movie "Blindside" and said of her that she needed to re-evaluate her opinion of Christians because Leigh Anne "walked the walk".
You can say what you will about Easter, the easter bunny and Jesus but unless you are living the life, it doesn't mean a thing.
